Individual Counselling & Psychotherapy
One-to-one sessions in a calm, confidential setting — a place to talk openly, be heard, and work through whatever you're carrying, at your own pace.
Strictly confidential counselling, psychotherapy and clinical supervision — available in-person at 30 Wicklow Street, Dublin 2, and online by secure video call.
You could be going through a period of emotional distress — the loss of a job or status, the death of someone close, LGBTQ concerns, the impending breakup of a relationship or a recent breakup.
Maybe you are experiencing high levels of anxiety, depression or stress which is affecting your normal ability to cope with everyday life. Maybe you have no idea why you feel so bad, and need to explore what could be causing your distress. Try not to despair. Your life can get better.
Dublin Counselling Service is a strictly confidential practice in the heart of Dublin City, run by accredited psychotherapists and clinical supervisors working in a humanistic and integrative way. Sessions are available in person at our Wicklow Street rooms and online by secure video call.
Every person who comes to us is different. We draw on a range of approaches and combine whichever best fits where you are right now.

People come to us at many different points — in distress, in transition, or simply wanting to understand themselves better. No presenting issue is too ordinary, or too complex.
Two things to remember: mental health issues are common and treatable — and you deserve a better life.

Alan and Breda are accredited clinical supervisors offering supervision to counsellors, psychotherapists and healthcare & community development workers at every stage of their career.
Supervision is a space for the supervisee to discuss and reflect on their practice and receive feedback, support and guidance from an accredited supervisor who is experienced in counselling, psychotherapy and supervision. It offers a collaborative space which is vital to the ongoing maintenance of the practitioner's competency and continued accreditation — both supervisor and supervisee are bound by the Code of Ethics and Practice of their accrediting body to monitor their work through regular supervision so that their competence as professional practitioners continues to develop. Available in person in Dublin 2 or online.
